Toploan Online is a free comparison website for personal loan apps in Nigeria. We list loan apps with their loan limits, repayment terms, interest rates and processing times, so you can compare options in one place. When you choose an app, you apply directly with that lender through its app or website.
What we do and don’t do
- We compare loan apps and explain how loans work.
- We do not lend money, and we do not approve or reject applications. Approval, rates and fees are set by each lender and can change.
- [Insert: whether we earn a commission when you use a link, and the date the list was last checked.]
How to use this site
- Browse the Instant Loans and Salary Loans lists.
- Compare the amount, term and monthly interest.
- Run the checklist below on the lender you prefer.
- Read the terms inside the app before you accept.
Our 5-point checklist before you borrow
1. Is the lender registered with the FCCPC?
Nigeria’s digital lending regulations, in effect since July 2025, require lenders to register with the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission. Penalties can reach ₦100 million or 1% of turnover. Check the company behind the app before you install it. See our guide: How to Check if a Loan App Is FCCPC Approved.
2. What is the true cost?
Many apps show interest per month. For example, at 10% per month on ₦50,000 for 3 months, flat interest is ₦15,000, so you repay ₦65,000. Ask about processing, insurance and late fees, then add them up. See: Loan App Interest Rates in Nigeria Explained.
3. Can you repay on time?
Choose the shortest term you can afford. Check the due date and repayment channel. Never borrow one loan to repay another.
4. What does the app ask for on your phone?
Be careful with apps that request contacts, photos or messages. Grant only what the app needs.
5. How does the lender treat late payers?
Threats and public shaming are not allowed. Keep screenshots and report it. See: How to Report Loan App Harassment in Nigeria.
